I have mainly been using Firefox at my default browser for a long time. I liked the changes to Firefox 4, but there have been some bugs in Firefox 4, they are slow to update it, and the browser is no longer consistent between platforms. I currently run Windows 7 for my office environment and OS X for my personal environment.
The bugs with Firefox 4 got me to start looking at Google Chrome. It was definitely faster than Firefox 4 and it did not have the issues that I found with the beta. I then started to appreciate the simplicity of the Chrome interface as well as how similar the interface was between Windows 7 and OS X.
So, I have changed my default browser from Firefox to Chrome for now. I have everything in sync between Firefox, Chrome and Windows 7, OS X by using LastPass for my passwords and XMarks for my bookmarks, which allows me to switch between them as I see fit or need.
Finally, I love the speed in which Chrome is updating itself. Google is updating Chrome on a regular basis and I do not see the same updates coming from Firefox of late, especially on the Beta front. Plus, most of the updates for Chrome happen in the background without me knowing it or having to do anything.
