Keeping Everything Up to Date

So, how do you keep your PC up to date?  Windows Update?  Windows update is a good tool for everything Microsoft, but what about all the useful apts that you run on your Windows machine?

I am currently looking at three applications; PSI, FileHippo, and UpdateStar.  Of the three, PSI seems like the most interesting as it will only flag those applications that have security vulnerabilities.  I think that is pretty neat, but I have not been able to get PSI to work.  It keeps crashing on me.

FileHippo is pretty neat.  It analyzes all your software and then pops up a web page with what needs to be updated including a link to download the software.  I like that feature.

UpdateStar is very similar to FileHippo, except it does not always have a link for you to download the software, but the database appears to be much richer.  UpdateStar told me I needed to update some drivers on my notebook, but I could never find them on the vendor's site.

I am not fixed on any one tool right now.  I am going to keep poking around until I find something that suits my needs the best.  Until then, I may continue to run both FileHippo and UpdateStar.
