Over the weekend, I finally got an update for my video card for Windows 7, sort of! The normal Windows Update included an optional update for my video card, an nVidia Quadro NVS 110M. The last time I got an update for my video card, my Windows 7 suspend stopped working - well, it worked, but my LCD on my notebook would not recover.
I was thrilled to get the new update, but the update did not apply. No mater what I tried, it failed to install. After some digging, I was able to find the update in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. In there, I found an Install directory and was able to execute the setup routing to update the driver.
Windows Update still thinks I have not installed the update, oh well. Suspend now recovers properly! Yea!
