Zimbra Desktop

I have known about Zimbra for several years.  I always thought it was an interesting mail platform, but because I use Exchange at the office, I have not had a reason to use Zimbra.  After Yahoo! bought Zimbra, work started on the Zimbra Desktop client.  Like the Zimbra platform, I thought it was interesting, but did not have a use for Zimbra Desktop.

Well, that was until the most current beta version of Zimbra Desktop came out.  In the current version of the Zimbra Desktop, I have the ability to synchronize and work with my Yahoo! mail offline.  Which is very cool, since Yahoo! has not set up IMAP for their mail services, like Google did.  It would really be cool if you could synchronize mail, contacts, and calendar, but for now, just mail.

I am going to kick the tires and see where it goes from here.
