If you are running Zabbix on Ubuntu, there is a problem with the Zabbix agent start up, it will not work!  The problem is there is a line in /etc/init.d/zabbix-agent which is:

DIR=/var/run/zabbix-server

The line needs to be:

DIR=/var/run/zabbix-agent

Once this change it made, the Zabbix agent will start up.

It seems that TRINITY-GW1 is a reserved word in Check Point NGX R65.  I was supporting a customer and they recently upgraded from NG R55 to NGX R65 and one of their firewalls was called TRINITY-GW1.  Pusing the policy produced the following errors:

Today, Ubuntu 8.10 was released.  As usual, I like to be up to date, so I went and updated my VirtualBox desktop image first and then went onto upgrading my server images.  I started out by running the normal update commands:

• sudo apt-get update
• sudo apt-get upgrade
• sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

You want to make sure your current version is up to date, before upgrading to a new version.  I then went onto execute the normal commands I run for upgrading:

When I changed my site to Drupal, I did not migrate the content from PostNuke to my new Drupal site.  I went back into the old stories and have just taken many of the old stories and added them to my new site.  You can find them by using the search function.  Check out some of the older stories by searching for things like "Nokia", or "Check Point".

If pay any attention to the Internet, then I am sure that you have heard of Google's new browser, Chrome.  It is currently only available for Windows right now, but I am sure that it will be available for other platforms very soon.

I loaded it up on my Vista notebook and it seems faster, snapper at rendering web sites, but seems is a subjective measurement.  I do not have any real measurements that tell me if the browser is faster or not.
